Thinking Maps

We
continue to embrace and celebrate our
learning of the eight visual-verbal
THINKING MAPS in LRC. Thinking Maps
give students a common set of language
“tools” for meaningful learning, and a way
to connect visual patterns with our thinking
and linking to curriculum. Thinking Maps,
promote cooperative learning, concept
development, reflective thinking,
creativity, clarity of communication and
continuous cognitive development.
The
diagram below displays the eight Thinking
Maps, the thinking process associated with
each map, and the visual graphic that
corresponds to each Thinking Map.
Take some time and discuss with your child
the various Thinking Maps they are learning
in school. YOU will be amazed at the power
of what they are learning!
